To shine the spotlight on her women’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection, Stella McCartney and team took over the Cotton Club in Harlem, New York City. The collection, presented last week, is “an insouciant take on British style with a mix of masculine and feminine,” says Stella.
Clothing with a traditional English essence and unexpected nuances—including detailed knitwear, billowy silks and bold prints in primary colors— were showcased by the models, while entertainers created a 1940’s inspired jazz party.
Keeping the hair on point, Aveda Artists — led by Antoinette Beenders, Aveda Global Creative Director— created special event hair styles that perfectly personified the evening’s vintage vibe.
